January 18th, 2017 (Hönö, Sweden) – By moving two of Cape Crow Yacht Clubs M32 catamarans down from snowy Sweden to Valencia, Spain the yacht club will be able to open a winter Academy down in the Spanish sailing hot spot. This will create opportunities for teams and single racers to book M32 Academy training and M32 Match Racing License clinics, perfect for teams based in Europe this winter.
“The conditions for training and racing is perfect in Valencia and was one of the reasons why the Americas Cup was based here previously. It will be a perfect complement to the Academy in Perth, Australia and Miami, USA that we’ve already announced.” Says Lars Linger from the Cape Crow Yacht Club. Clinics and training will be organized from February to March 2017. ”We will be able to tailor training to different teams’ needs as well as organize the clinics according to the Academy’s module program. So no matter if you’re a WMRT team aspiring for the world title or a beginner taking your first steps in the class we can arrange it for you from Valencia.”
