Dear M32 Teams and Followers
March 17, 2020
UPDATED JUNE 12, 2020
As you all have seen over the last weeks the coronavirus will have an unprecedented impact on all sport events around the globe, this includes our M32 regattas.
The foremost priority will always be the health and well being of our teams, staff and the sailing and yacht club community at large. Many of our friends in Italy, Spain and other countries are living through very tough times and in the rest of the World there is much uncertainty on what the future will hold.
For the time being we are still preparing for other events to go ahead as planned. We are in constant communication with Yacht Clubs and Sailing Federations on the development of the situation and will relay any information directly to the involved racing teams.
There is a huge uncertainty. We don’t know what the situation will be like in a week from now and much less in a month. The regulations and bans of different nations constantly update and change. We cling to the hope that we will be able to get back to the race course later this season.
The class is investigating the possibility of changing dates or venues making it possible to to keep our racing season as complete as possible. This poses logistical challenges and the class members will be contacted for advice before any decisions are made.
